Alan Shearer becomes Newcastle manager until the end of the season.

Newcastle fans everywhere, it looks as though the day has come, Alan Shear is Newcastle manager!

Newcastle legend Alan Shearer is set to become the new Newcastle manager until the end of the season. Shearer has constantly been linked with becoming Newcastle manager and when those rumours were previously quashed it looked as though it wouldn’t be happening for some time but here it is, Shearer in the hot seat.

It isn’t the ideal situation to be in for your first stint in management by any stretch of the imagination. Shearer has just eight games to turn Newcastle’s season around. The Magpies are currently in the bottom three and are two points behind Blackburn who occupy 17th place.

One thing that you can guarantee though is that the Toon Army will be 100% behind Mr Shearer as Newcastle look to stay in the Premier League.

On Saturday, Chelsea will visit St James’ Park, expect there to be noise… lots of noise! This match is now set up to be one of the highlights of the season! Do not miss it.
