Arsenal vs Celtic – Preview
Most people have already written Celtic off ahead of their 2nd leg with Arsenal in the Champions League playoff but you can be assured that Tony Mowbray and his players won’t consider this tie over.
In truth they have a mountain to climb do Celtic and realistically they have to be looking at the Europa League rather than the Champions League as Arsenal have made a sparkling start to the new season and don’t look like losing anytime soon.
Celtic striker Marc-Antoine Fortune was amongst the goals for Celtic at the weekend as they put 5 past St Johnstone. The strikers double was his first goals for Celtic and Celtic fans will be hoping that it is the start of more to come ahead of the clash with Arsenal.
Arsenal fans welcomed Abou Diaby back in to the Arsenal starting line up with open arms at the weekend as the towering midfielder bagged a double, he will be an added threat for Celtic to try and cope with.
Some short lived good news for Celtic at least is that Cesc Fabregas won’t feature after picking up a hamstring injury against Portsmouth, however, it is soured with Celtic’s own midfield dynamo Landry N’Guemo missing out due to suspension.
