Aston Villa go into their match against Fulham on the back of a couple of excellent results against Arsenal and Manchester United which saw them take four points from a possible six. Villa will be full of confidence going into this match and Fulham will have to be the underdogs here.

Fulham themselves will have every reason to be confident going into this match. Having won three of their five last games, they will have every reason to believe they can secure at least a point at Villa Park if not all three.

Fulham’s goal-less draw at Liverpool last week stands out most from their recent performances and Martin O’Neil will have to take that into account when preparing his side for the match this Saturday.

John Carew, Luke Young and Carlos Cuellar could all return for Villa after shaking off injuries while veteran goalkeeper, Brad Friedel, will surpass David James’ record of 166 consecutive Premiership appearances with a start this Saturday against Fulham.

Fulham are expected to line up with the same eleven that got a draw at Liverpool against Aston Villa.
