David Beckham has been recalled to the England squad to play in a friendly against France on March 26th in Paris.
Beckham was left out of Fabio Capellos first sqaud that played Switzerland back in February due to a lack of match fitness but has proved himself since then to be worthy of a call-up under Capello which could lead to him winning the 100th cap that he craves.
Capello’s assistant Franco Baldini saw Beckham play for his club LA Galaxy in a friendly against Dallas at the weekend and saw enough to convince him that Becks was back in shape.
On Baldini’s return Capello said: “I have had good reports on him from Franco, who watched him on Saturday night, and also from his club. I know a lot about David Beckham and what he can offer the team.”
