Blackburn vs Manchester City : Preview

Manchester City have of course been the most active team in the transfer market this summer by a country mile. In their push to break up the top four Man City have splashed the cash on big names such as Emmanuel Adebayor, Gareth Barry, Carlos Tevez and the now former Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz.

It will be interesting to see what kind of response the Blackburn faithful give Santa Cruz even though he is injured – not a good one i imagine!

Blackburn have been at the opposite end of the transfer market from City but they have snapped up Croatian striker Nikola Kalinic.

All eyes will be on Man City here as we all try and make up our mind if Mark Hughes’ side will be challenging for the title this season or not. Something we already know for sure though is that Sam Allardyce’ Blackburn won’t make it easy for them, Big Sam never does!
