Today Brazil soccer legend Romario announced his retirement from football at the age of 42. In a career which spanned over 20 years he managed to score over 1,000 goals, 56 international goals in 73 appearances for Brazil, won the 1994 World Cup and won the World Player of the Year award for 1994. 1994 was no doubt Romario’s best year and it is the World Cup in USA that is most associated with the Brazillian where he was fantastic and of course later went on to win.
