The FA Cup final today will bring an end to a long, hard and eventful English season which could see Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink leave Stamford Bridge on the highest of notes by lifting the prestigious FA Cup at Wembley.

As a neutral i am not sure which way to swing, Chelsea… Everton… Chelsea… Everton. On the one hand as a fan more of Guss Hiddink than Chelsea i would like to see the interim Chelsea boss go out with a bang which to be quite honest he does deserve.

Although with Everton you have man in charge who more than anybody in the English game deserves to have a piece of silverware come his way.

David Moyes has done nothing short of a miracle at Everton since taking charge way back in 2002 and i find it hard not to fall in love with the man to be honest (purely as a lover of football) after the job he has done with the Merseyside club.

Would it be fitting to see Guus Hiddink leave England with the FA Cup in his hands or is his fit to be the nearly man and have nothing to show for his hard work? No matter what though… all the romantic football stuff aside, on paper Chelsea are the team to put your money on.

But, seeing as i have quite clearly broadcasted myself as a football romanticist the real love story lies with Everton and David Moyes in particular (no, this isn’t a bromance).

For me the FA Cup this year belongs to Everton and i will be cheering them on all the way! Am i a neutral? Maybe i am a closet Everton fan, who knew!
