Chelsea Vs Fenerbache Champions League Highlights 2nd Leg
By Football Daft at 8 April, 2008, 7:26 am
After an unsuspecting 2-1 defeat to Fenerbache in the 1st leg Chelsea will be looking to get their hopes back on track with a good showing at Stamford Bridge tonight. Hopes of Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech returning to action tonight have been dashed. After only just returning to training from an ankle injury he will now be out of tonight’s Champions League clash with Fenerbache due to a facial injury caused after a challenge in training. Chelsea gaffer Avram Grant is hopeful however that Didier Drogba and Ricardo Carvalho will return to action tonight after missing out in the win over Man City at the weekend.
Fenerbahce manager Zico has problems of his own with Roberto Carlos and Claudio Maldonado doubtful due to injuries as well. But, they will be going in tonight’s game with a 2-1 lead and have showed in previous rounds and the 1st leg against Chelsea that they have quality and can cause problems. Despite the 2-1 advantage they will have a tough time of it if Chelsea’s home record is anything to go by. The Blues have not lost at home in the Champions League for 2 years when Barcelona last beat them in 2006. Read on to view the highlights.
