Chelsea Vs Wigan Highlights Premier League 14th April

Chelsea will be setting out tonight against Wigan at Stamford Bridge in a game which they must win if they are to have any chance of winning the Premier League this season. After Manchester United’s win against Arsenal yesterday, Chelsea are now 6 points behind the Champions with a game in hand but a win tonight and another victory against Everton on Thursday will put them level on points with Sir Alex Ferguson’s team.

In an extraordinary turn of events, goalkeeper Petr Cech may feature in goal tonight after what can only be described as a “freak” clash with Tal Ben-Haim which left the goalkeeper needing 50 stitches on his chin.

Wigan will be welcoming back Michael Brown and Jason Koumas after the pair have been absent due to suspension. The only other player unavailable for Steve Bruce is Erik Edman.
