Derby v Aston Villa Premier League Highlights 12th April

Derby are already relegated from the Premier League but will be going all out today to get a result against Aston Villa and try and re-claim some of the pride they have lost this season. Derby may go down with the worst points tally in the history of the Premier League, something which Paul Jewell does not want on his C/V and that will be their motivation to push on for the rest of the season. Villa are still in with a chance of a UEFA Cup spot but after winning only 1 of their last 6 realistically they need maximum points for the rest of the season.

Mile Sterjovski is ruled out of the clash at Pride Park with an Achilles injury. Robbie Savage, Dean Leacock and striker Emanuel Villa will all go under a late fitness test but they are expected to play.

John Carew is recovering from a groin injury picked up last week and is doubtful while Craig Gardener will not be in the squad for Villa, other that Martin O’Neil has no problems.
