When Germany and England meet you can never really call it a friendly. Two countries with such great history with one another will always be looking to get the better over the other no matter in what context the match is.

England have had a lot of withdrawals from their squad, all of which have been scrutinised by the press and indeed Fabio Capello who has double-checked the injury status of some, most notably Steven Gerrard, there’s no pulling cotton wool over Fabio’s eyes that’s for sure!
