In their last friendly match before Euro 2008, Germany took on Serbia at the Veltins Arena, the home of FC Schalke. After disappointingly losing a 2 goal lead against Belarus just a few days ago, the Germans were looking to put in a good performance and get a good result to take into Euro 2008 next week. It didn’t start well for Germany as they went 1-0 down thanks to a Bosko Jankovic goal. The Germans showed great character though and got themselves back in the match thanks to an Oliver Neuville goal and just 8 minutes later they cemented their win with a Michael Ballack free-kick.
