Ciro Ferrara not only played in the Champions League for Juventus as a player but won it back in 1996, however, he moves into unchartered territory this week as his side face Bordeaux in his first Champions League match as a manager.

Current French domestic champions Bordeaux have never registered a win on Italian soil, a statistic that Laurent Blanc will look to end against Juventus this week, but coming into this years Champions League as French champions will surely boost the belief of the players ahead of their travels to Turin and they will want to prove a point in the Stadio Olimpico.

That being said Juventus have a near impeccable record at home against French opposition winning eight and drawing one of their nine games against French sides.

The favourites for the match have to be Juventus especially with the 100% start that they have made in Serie A but Bordeaux are a very together side under Laurent Blanc and will give them a good run for their money.
