Football fans everywhere will be dropping what they are doing today and keeping an eye on this weekends biggest game. Today is the Merseyside Derby and with Liverpool and Everton battling it out for that lucrative fourth Champions League spot it is sure to be a cracker! Liverpool are just 2 points in front of David Moyes’ Everton so a win for The Toffees will push Liverpool down into fifth. A Liverpool victory however will leave Everton trailing by 5 and put a serious dent in their Champions League hopes. Liverpool star striker Fernando Torres is fit after making it through Spains midweek international friendly but Javier Mascherano is suspended. Everton’s main concern in Andy Johnson who is doubtful after a groin injury and Steven Pienaar’s fitness will also be assessed ahead of the game after an illness. Read on for the highlights.
