Manchester United v Arsenal : Preview

It is one of the biggest fixtures in English football and is without question the biggest game of the season so far. It is Manchester United who have the advantage of playing at home but Arsenal have no reason to fear any team on any ground at the moment considering the blistering form they are in right now.

Poor results against the rest of the big four didn’t do Manchester United any harm in the end last season but Sir Alex will want his side to fair better against the likes of Arsenal this time around.

It has to be said that the 5-0 humping of Wigan aside – Man Utd haven’t looked all that convincing so far this season. If there was a match were you could tag them as underdogs then this would be it.

Although “underdog” may be stretching it a bit i still reckon that Manchester United are there for the taking this year and Arsenal definitely wouldn’t be surprise winners this Saturday.

Arsenal allowed key men Robin van Persie and Andrei Arshavin to rest on the bench against Celtic in midweek but they are expected to return to the starting eleven that will face Man Utd.

Man Utd continue to be without Rio Ferdinand but Wes Brown has returned to action for United and Jonny Evans may get the nod to play despite suffering with an ankle injury.
