Mathematically Portsmouth can still claim 5th spot in the Premier League and a UEFA Cup place but they are also in the FA Cup final against Cardiff and they look like they are going to have a better chance of European qualification down that road than through the League. Nonetheless Harry Redknapp and his team will still travel to Middlesbrough today battling and looking to climb up a couple of places. Middlebrough are pretty much safe and it is just a matter of seeing the season out well for them. Afonso Alves has started to come into a bit of form for Middlesbrough lately and a Afonso alves goal at The Riverside today would be a good bet.
