Rangers suffered the heartache of the UEFA Cup final defeat during the week and it hasn’t gotten much better for them this weekend in the SPL either. Perhaps suffering from the disappointment of losing the UEFA Cup to Zenit during the week was behind the under par performance today but Rangers definitely looked a deflated team today at Fir Park and Motherwell and indeed Celtic have reaped the benefits from it. Celtic will now be the favourites to lift the SPL trophy thanks to Rangers recent slip ups and The Gers will now have to win all remaining games if they are to have a chance of claiming the title of League Champions.
