Netherlands Vs Wales Highlights: International Friendly

Wales travelled to Rotterdam to take on Netherlands in the last friendly match for the Dutch before Euro 2008 begins. The Netherlands were fully expected to be too much for the young Wales side and Wales didn’t pull off any surprises. Wales succumbed to a 2-0 defeat thanks to 2 fantastic Holland goals either side of half time from Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder. It could have been more for Netherlands if it weren’t for young Wales and Wolves goalkeeper, Wayne Hennessey, who pulled off a string of great saves to save his team from humiliation. Netherlands have looked good in their recent friendly encounters and although they are in “the group of death” alongside France, Italy and Romania, they still remain among the favourites to win this years tournament.
