Paul Ince Sacked As Blackburn Manager: Premiership News

Blackburn manager, Paul Ince, has been sacked by the Lancashire club after only 6 months in charge.
Under Paul Ince, Blackburn have managed only 3 wins from 17 Premiership games and the club are in big trouble lying second bottom in the table. Their last league win came way back on 27th September when they beat Newcastle so to me the only surprise is that the Guvnor didn’t get the chop sooner.
Yes, everyone is always banging on about how new managers need time, and they do, but for me 6 months is plenty of time to get a feel of the man you have put in charge of your club and if his record stands at 3 wins from 17 and you are currently 19th in the table then something has to be done about it.
In truth i think Ince was given his shot at the big time too early, yes i know that is constantly being said about these noobs to the manager business but it is bloody well true! Going from a League Two MK Dons side to a Premiership Blackburn side is a hell of a leap and just isn’t right.
I do feel sorry for Ince though, he was clearly determined to make it work, i don’t think it was his lack of effort that was the problem. He had the exact same attitude as a player but like i said, too much too soon seems to be the case yet again.
As for Paul Ince’s replacement, well, all the usual suspects are being named as usual. Sam Allardyce of course has been named as he has been with every other job from Kettering Town to Sunderland. Graeme Souness of course has been linked and is the bookies favourite to take the post. While Alan Curbishley makes up the trio of managers who are desperate to get off the dole and get a job.
Veteran Blackburn midfielder, Tugay, has also been linked with taking over. I don’t see much good in that to be honest. The board have just sacked a young unproven manager because he hasn’t been good enough so throwing another small fish into the giant pond that is the Premiership doesn’t seem too wise to me.
Whoever does come in, in my opinion, has to be someone with experience to steady the ship so to speak and preferably a well known who can command respect. But then again, those aren’t exactly easy to come by in today’s football world are they!
