After a midweek European defeat Arsenal look to bounce back against Portsmouth in the Premier League. Portsmouth haven’t beaten Arsenal in the league for over 50 years so three points here would be regarded as a bonus for Pompey.

Armand Traore is unavailable for Portsmouth due to the conditions of his loan from Arsenal and Niko Kranjcar is also ruled out to face Arsenal because of an ankle injury.

The Arsenal casualty list is a bit more excessive than that of Portsmouth with Robin van Persie, Eduardo, Gael Clichy, William Gallas and Mikael Silvestre all ruled out for the trip to Portsmouth.
