Portugal and Switzerland aren’t really playing for anything in this match with Portugal already having secured the top place in Group A and Switzerland are already out of 2008. Switzerland will be looking to re-claim some pride though and give the home fans something to cheer about in what has been somewhat of an unlucky Euro 2008 for Switzerland. Switzerland lost yet another striker in Eren Derdiyok aginst Turkey so Daniel Gygax should start up front for Switzerland.

Portugal are expected to rest some key players and concentrate more on the quarter finals. This will also give some of the other Portugal players the chance to give coach Luiz Felipe Scolari something to think about for his quarter final starting 11. Cristiano Ronaldo, Jose Bosingwa and Ricardo Carvalho could be rested against Switzerland and hugo Almeida is expected to partner Nuno Gomes in attack.
