Liverpool head to Tottenham for their opener to the new campaign. Tottenham are unbeaten at White Hart Lane in the Premier League since November 2008 so this will be an early tough test for Liverpool.

Tottenham have two former Liverpool strikers who are set to start in Peter Crouch and Robbie Keane so these two will be looking to show Rafa Benitez just what he is missing out on by getting shot of them.

Liverpool though will be looking towards Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres to sink Tottenham with both players expected to start despite Steven Gerrard having recent injury worries.

This match could be the highlight of the weekends fixtures if both sides play to their full potential although Arsenals 6-1 cuffing of Everton yesterday will be hard to top.
