Tottenham welcome Newcastle to White Hart Lane today in the third match on this Super Sunday. Tottenham and Newcastle have been the Premiership’s two big surprises this season season and not for the right reasons. Although Spurs have won the Carling Cup they will be more than disappointed with their league position this year as will Newcastle, a club with such high expectation demands better than 15th place after 31 matches. Newcastle will be desperate to get back on song and after claiming their first win under Kevin Keegan last weekend they will be looking to carry it on at White Hart Lane. Tottenham have however scored almost twice as much goals as Newcastle this season but bizarrely have won only two games more. Tottenham may have already qualified for Europe and be sitting comfortably at the top of the bottom half of the table but they will wanting to push into the top half before the season finishes.
