Villarreal and Arsenal have met once before in the Champions League. Arsenal came out on top over Villarreal on that occasion and will set out to do the same tonight.

Arsenal will be missing Robin Van Persie for the trip to Villarreal as he has a groin injury. Andrey Arshavin will also be absent for Arsenal as he is ineligible after already featuring for Zenit St Petersburg in the Champions League this year.

Villarreal will be without Santi Cazorla for the visit of Arsenal tonight after he was ruled out for the rest of the season with a fractured fibula.
